The charm of the five-yen coin lies in its name: “go-EN.” The number 5 means “go”' in Japanese, and 'yen' sounds like “en.” More importantly, “go-EN” means honorable success, especially in relationships. People toss these coins into temples, hoping to attract new connections-fortune, friendship, or love.
